KnowCost for Jira is a Management Information Dashboard plug-in for Atlassian Jira that provides organizations building software for themselves - or service providers delivering software for their clients - with a real-time view of Product versus Spend burn-down on their Agile projects.
Using KnowCost for Jira, cost data can be used to assist with release planning, team sizing, profiling and team utilization. The dashboard allows users compare Product with Spend-burn-down to get a real-time view as to whether projects are truly on-track or not.
It provides Project & Product Managers, Product Owners & Scrum Masters alike with greater visibility of delivery, improved certainty of costs, and a better outlook on future planning using KnowCost’s financial and delivery projections.
There are two fundamental purposes to KnowCost for Jira:
Allow organizations building software for themselves track the rate at which Project Spend is growing relative to the rate at which work is completed on their in-house software and make more-informed planning decisions on backlog priorities and team utilization.
Allow Service Providers building software for their end-clients give important delivery and financial metrics to their clients whilst closely tracking their own account-level financial data.
